One Program, Three Goals

Learn, Think, Grow

Drawing on many disciplines, students at The Farm develop knowledge and skills through hands-on activities that prepare them to address complex issues facing our modern food system.

Rooted in Community

From the donors who have helped us launch The Farm to the faculty and students who produce fresh food, and finally to the consumers who enjoy our products, The Farm is becoming an important figure in the local food system.

Farm to Campus

The Farm brings a practical element to campus. It provides a hands-on experience for hundreds of students as they learn to produce food for a twenty-first century market.

THE FARM

An Opportunity to Share with our
Community while Learning

While learning to produce fresh, healthy products for the tables of local restaurants and homes, our farmers are helping to enrich life in our community.

Our Hydroponic System

A look at how we grow our vegetables

We have four separate systems for teaching students to grow fresh vegetables. These include the largest SAEF system in the US, and the second largest in the world.

Our Products

Our students help to grow fresh produce

Here is how to add freshness to your table.

You may visit the farm on Saturdays between 1 and 2 p.m., at 3025 E Spangle Waverly Road. If you leave a donation, you may select your very own bunch of lettuce. Or if visiting The Farm is not convenient, you will soon be able to place your order online.
